UAE Tennis Federation Daily Analysis — 365 Open Sports U14 Boys (Dubai), Monday, 12 October 2026

Tournament Overview

The 365 Open Sports - U14 Boys event continues in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, running from Friday, 9 October, to Sunday, 18 October 2026. Staged on hard courts, the tournament features a Main Draw of 16 and a Qualifying Draw of 8 in the Boys' 14 age category. With rising talents from clubs across the UAE circuit and beyond, the week promises a blend of emerging skill and competitive depth.

Where the Draw Stands

The Round of 16 is the focal point to start the week. Notably, Yahia KARKOURI (SMA) has already progressed to the Quarterfinals by virtue of a first‑round bye. The remaining Round of 16 ties set up compelling stylistic contrasts and inter‑club rivalries.

• Syed hamza MAHMOOD (PRE) vs Ewan MNEIMNEH (C.F)
• Kareem ZEINELDIN (365) vs Platon ZHUKOV (IND)
• Doudou WANG (IND) vs Gabriel MICHEL (JTP)
• Kaif FATTA (FUT) vs Madhav BANSAL (ATL)
• Daksh PATEL (RAC) vs Takeru KAMIKI (PBI)
• Wildan THASSIM (365) vs Neil MISHRA (TRI)
• Rayan FASSI-FIHRI (IND) vs Yousef ASHOUR (SUP)
• Yahia KARKOURI (SMA) — advanced to QF (bye)

Players to Watch

1. Yousef ASHOUR (SUP) — Rank 14: The top‑ranked entrant in the field opens against Rayan FASSI-FIHRI (IND). Expect compact patterns and proactive baseline pressure.
2. Kareem ZEINELDIN (365) — Rank 21: A hometown club presence in Dubai, facing Platon ZHUKOV (IND). His first‑strike tennis on hard courts is a key differentiator.
3. Gabriel MICHEL (JTP) — Rank 33: Takes on Doudou WANG (IND). Balanced offense and court coverage make him a steady threat.
4. Yahia KARKOURI (SMA) — Rank 36: Already into the quarterfinals; benefits from added preparation time while scouting his potential opponents.
5. Kaif FATTA (FUT) — Rank 40: Meets Madhav BANSAL (ATL, Rank 51) in a match likely decided by second‑serve protection and forehand conversion.
6. Takeru KAMIKI (PBI) — Rank 40: Against Daksh PATEL (RAC, Rank 64); baseline elasticity versus counterpunching poise could define the momentum swings.

Keys on Hard Court

• Serve plus one: Securing short forehands behind a reliable first serve will tilt short‑point counts.
• Neutral ball management: Fewer unforced errors in cross‑court exchanges will matter as rallies lengthen.
• Return depth: Pinning servers behind the baseline opens up early break opportunities.
