The competitions of the second edition of the Dubai Sports Council Community Tennis League were concluded on the courts of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, with the participation of more than 100 players from various clubs and academies affiliated with the UAE Tennis Federation, which lasted for two consecutive months and came within the Federation’s technical plan to spread tennis and expand it in all Emirates.
The most prominent results resulted in Ali Ehsan Shah winning first place in the men’s singles for the A group, while the winner in the B group Anas Dabol and won in the C group Naduh Ngoti. In Women competition Nathalia Torloting won the group A and Paola de Gallie won group B
In this context, the General Secretary of the Tennis Federation, Naser Al-Marzouqi, confirmed that organizing the tournament resulted in important gains that can be built upon for the future, despite the fact that it was held with high temperatures and humidity in the summer. Among the most important gains is the players’ desire to continue practicing tennis and increase the number of participants by more than 100 players. And the diversity of the participating academies, which reflects the relationship of cooperation between the federation, clubs and academies. He thanked the Dubai Sports Council and the General Sports Authority for the support and sponsorship, and the conclusion of the establishment of the second edition of the League confirms the success of the first edition and gives motivation to organize more effective future editions. The current edition of the tournament witnessed the distribution of financial prizes to the winners as a first step to develop the tournament and raise its technical level.
